Prayer Update – April 2020

When Jesus visited his disciples on the evening of his resurrection, he said to them,
“Peace be with you!  As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” –
John 20:21-22

May we too be bearers of Jesus’ peace and of his Holy Spirit to the world he loves.

  • Please pray for all of our artisan partners, staff and their neighbors who have had houses and lands and crops destroyed by heavy rains.  May God provide ample resources so that they can manage their daily lives.
  • Please pray for all those who have lost their jobs due to COVID-19 and are unable to provide food for their families. May God provide their daily food.
  • Please ask for wisdom for our national leaders as they guide us through the present crisis.
  • We praise God that there have not been any virus-related deaths in Rwanda thus far!

  • We pray for wisdom for our continued work from home during lockdown and the upcoming return to the office.
  • Please also ask for wisdom in responding to a large but risky order opportunity.

  • We praise God for the birth of a baby for weaver Theodette!  Please ask for healing for Theodette, who has had an extended hospitalization due to complications from the delivery.
  • Please continue to pray for weaver Sylverie, who is still with new baby and daugher Kevine at a special center for Kevine’s intensive physical therapy.
  • May God bring comfort and help to the families of artisans who have lost loved ones recently.  Particularly, we think of carver Emmanuel of Inganzo Cooperative, who lost his brother and weaver Leoncie from AVEKI Cooperative, who lost her husband. (Emmanuel is pictured above.)

  • We CELEBRATE the goodness of God and the generosity of people around the world in exceeding our goal for the Artisan Emergency Food Fund.  Because of this, our team is now able to send emergency food funds to every one of our 547 artisan and beekeeping partners, and even to include several other families.  May God bless every person who shared in this act of love.

  • Let’s pray for the preservation of bees and pollinators around the world.

  • At the end of the year, we made an error but have seen God use that error to provide for us abundantly.  We praise God for his mercy and provision!
  • We also praise God for all of the new customer relationships and wonderful sales we have had the opportunity to fill in the past month. WOW!

May the peace of Jesus be with you, Friends.
