Description
We are quite fond of our Caramel Twist Woven Pot—and for good reason. This is our first woven pot with a lid, making it especially useful for storing and organizing everyday items. The flat lid also allows the pots to be stacked, helping keep shelves and surfaces neat and tidy.
Each pot is handwoven by artisans in rural Rwanda using dyed natural sisal fibers wrapped around a core of locally gathered forest grasses. The warm tea color is created by steeping naturally white sisal fibers in Rwandan-grown tea leaves, giving each piece its rich, organic tone.
Beautiful, functional, and made with care, this woven pot brings fair trade craftsmanship and natural beauty into your home.
The Handcrafted Details
- The Tea color of our woven pot is created when the naturally-white sisal fibers are steeped in Rwandan tea leaves.
- The sisal fibers are then woven around locally-gathered forest grasses until the twist pattern is formed.
- The flat lid makes the woven pot useful for storage, or even stacking.
- Each Woven Pot measures approximately 4 inches high and 7.5 inches wide.
- Care: Wipe with a damp cloth.
- Note: Azizi Life goods are crafted from natural and locally-available raw materials. As such, each product is unique and may vary slightly in size or shade of color. Woven products exposed to sun or water may fade or become more malleable with time.
- Ethically crafted by a person in rural Rwanda.
- Includes a beautiful tag with the name of the artisan and their cooperative. Visit the Artisans section of our website to read about the cooperative and see a photo of the artisan behind your piece. Perfect for gift-giving—this special touch makes your purchase even more meaningful.
- Azizi Life is a member of the Fair Trade Federation and committed to fair trade principles.
- Every product supports our community impact projects.
- Also available in Rwanda at the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund.
