Prayer Update

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Against such things there is no law.

RWANDA

  • We are thankful that some churches have been able to meet the requirements to re-open with COVID-19 precautions.  Please pray for those which are still closed.
  • The number of people affected by COVID-19 is rising, particularly within the communities at the Kigali markets.  Please pray for effective protection and prevention.

AZIZI LIFE

  • In the time since lockdown, we have been able to purchase more than 1.5 TONS of products from the artisans!  This is our largest shipment EVER.  Please ask for blessing for all the customers who have made this possible.  UPDATE: We praise God that the shipment arrived in the States!
  • Please ask that when guests are able to safely return to Rwanda, they will choose to be hosted by the artisans for Experience days.
  • We continue to seek God’s direction to help us locate and purchase piece of land on which to build a new center for Azizi Life.  This may take a miracle to overcome the many barriers we have been facing!
  • We praise God for his provision of a BIG order which has given good work to hundreds of artisans at this critical time.  Please pray for the remaining logistics to go well.

ARTISANS

  • Thank you for praying for the father of weaver Fortunee.  He is home from the hospital and will continue treatment for respiratory issues.
  • Please pray for weaver Christine, whose son was killed in a mining accident.  They young man had been preparing for marriage.
  • Please pray for Innocent, the husband of Priska, a weaver of bowls. Innocent, who is 62 years old, has cancer which one can see emerging from the side of his neck. We praise God that he provided a specialist from India who will operate to treat Innocent on September 10th. Please pray for all the details to come together for the surgery preparation, for financial provision for the family, and for God’s healing through the doctor.
  • We celebrate that weaver Xavera was able to weave all through her third trimester to help prepare for the baby (see photo).  At the end of July, she gave birth to a baby girl!  You can read Xavera’s story on our blog here.

AZIZI LIFE IMPACT (UBI)

  • We praise God that the reconstruction of a widow’s home is well underway- the roof is on!  Please ask for wisdom and skill so that the project can be completed with excellence.
  • We praise God that 86 artisan families enrolled in our health insurance payment assistance program.  That’s 445 family members who are now covered!
  • On an administrative note, please ask that we will understand how to fully align with the new reporting regulations for Rwandan nonprofit organizations, through an effective relationship with our new accountant.

BEEUTIFUL CREATIONS

  • Please pray for guidance on how to optimally adjust our plan for serving beekeepers and candle makers during this time.

AZIZI LIFE RWANDA STAFF

  • Thank you for praying for our expected staff babies.  We praise God that Innocent’s baby girl, Akili, has arrived, as has Michael’s baby boy, Logan!   Michael’s story is on our blog here.
  • Sadly, Innocent’s dear grandmother, who you also prayed for, passed away in July.  Please ask for continued comfort for the family.

AZIZI LIFE US

  • Thank you for praying for the filling of our team need.  We have a short-term answer with which we are very pleased!
  • MULTIPLY 2022: In order to keep our 10x goal in sight, we are continuing to pray that God multiply our US sales 5.29 x in 2020.  UPDATE: We praise God for our best month ever in August!
  • We are excited about a budding relationship which may open up the doors for us to also sell in Canada.  Please pray for God’s hand on this relationship and his guidance in the opportunity.

We are in awe of God’s answers to our prayers for muliplication.
With love from the Azizi Life Team
