Clean Water
Water Filters: The majority of the communities in which we work do not yet have running water in their homes.  Most families have access only to non-potable water from springs or community taps.  Our filters enable people to get clean water without the need to boil, not only ensuring a healthier population but also saving time and energy while reducing the amount of carbon-dioxide being created. In addition, with a water filter, drinking water is no longer a scarce resource.

Great products are available on the market to promote cleaner, more environmentally friendly and cheaper sources of energy.  Sadly, these new technologies are too expensive and out of reach of most rural Rwandans who can’t afford the upfront costs of purchase, although over time they will save money.

To overcome this barrier, Azizi Life Impact purchases water filters in bulk, at a discount. We then offer the water filters to our artisan partners and other community members for the same discounted price, with a no-interest repayment system. The payments we receive from the artisans are then re-invested into the purchase of more water filters, ensuring that this program can impact a limitless number of rural Rwandans.

Our system enables the artisan to immediately take her water filters home and begin benefitting her family.  These benefit health, finances and family relationships.
