Boutique Vestine Green Duo Set
Named after its maker expert weaver Vestine, Boutique Vestine Green Woven Bowls were inspired by a fabric Vestine found (pictured). It is a challenge for most weavers to take an established pattern and weave it with perfect balance and excellence in every stitch, but Vestine has a gift. In this new bowl, she shares her gift with all of us. Bring ethical, fair trade beauty into your home décor.

Handcrafted Details
Vestine can help her family in many ways with her weaving income: buying clothes for herself and her siblings, food for the family, and paying for national health insurance, to name a few. She also is saving through several savings groups and at the bank. Vestine's dream is to set aside enough capital from weaving to start a small business selling in the city market.
All of our woven bowls are created from dyed natural sisal fibers woven over a core of forest grasses. The weavers begin in the middle of the bowl, carefully threading the sisal around and around to create this beautiful design. The tea color is created when the naturally-white sisal fibers are steeped in Rwandan-grown tea leaves!
Celebrate your love for people, resilience and beauty with our artisan-made home décor and gifts. Azizi Life is committed to loving, fair trade, ethical relationships. A portion of profit is donated to benefit our community impact projects.

The Craft Behind the Product
On the rolling hills of Rwanda, the sisal plant grows tall and strong. It takes nearly two years before the plant is ready to harvest. With a steady hand, a woman artisan carefully cuts one of its long, spiky leaves with a machete, leaving the plant to continue growing.
The green outer layers are stripped away by hand using water and skill, revealing the strong natural fibers beneath. The fibers are washed, dried, and prepared for weaving.
Some sisal receives its beautiful golden color from an unexpected source—Rwandan tea. The fibers are dipped in locally grown tea, creating a warm, natural tone. Other colors are dyed in our color lab, where sisal is carefully colored in small batches to achieve the perfect shade for each design.
Then the weaving begins. Using a needle and sisal thread, she stitches tiny coils around a bundle of natural grasses, building each piece from the center outward. Every bowl is woven by hand, one stitch at a time.
A single bowl can take several days and thousands of individual stitches to complete. Behind every finished piece is a skilled woman artisan whose creativity, patience, and craftsmanship transform a simple plant into something beautiful, functional, and made to last.
