A Card That Tells a Story: Our Handmade Greeting Cards
Our handmade greeting cards are made from banana fiber and kitenge fabric remnants by a Rwandan artisan named Venant, so no two are exactly alike. Each one is zero waste, plastic free, and carries a QR code that plays a short video of the maker at work. Here is the story behind a card worth keeping.
There’ssomething special about receiving a card that feels personal. Notjust a quick note, but something you can tell was made with care.Something you consider keeping. Our newest card collection wascreated with that in mind.
Eachcard is handmade by Venant, an artisan who works with banana fiber, anatural, textured material that makes every piece unique. Somedesigns also include kitenge fabric remnants, carefully chosen andhand cut. Because of the nature of these materials, no two cards areever the same. Each one is truly a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Thatis what sets these banana fiber cardsapart from mass-produced cards.
Thesearen’t cards meant to be tossed aside. They’re cards people holdonto. Some even frame them.
See the Story Come Alive
On the back of every card is a QR code that connects the recipient directly to the maker. When scanned, it opens a short video showing Venant at work, creating a card from start to finish. You can see his hands, the process, and the care that goes into each piece. It’s a simple moment, but a meaningful one, a reminder that this card was made by a real person, not a machine.
We love that the story doesn’t end when the card is given. It continues with the person who receives it.
Thoughtfully Made, Zero Waste
These cards are made using banana fiber and kitenge fabric remnants, ensuring nothing goes to waste. Each card comes with a recycled paper envelope and no plastic sleeve, beautifully simple and kind to the planet. That makes them genuine eco friendly greeting cards, or zero waste cards, not just pretty ones.
It’s a small choice that reflects something bigger: caring for people and the world we share.
