Abishyizehamwe means “People who have joined together”, it is a group created by 15 weavers located in Muhanga district, Shyogwe sector. Before joining together, all of them were weavers who learned from their mothers and neighbors because they grew up seeing them weaving. The purpose of this group was to gather strength together in order to share experiences and find the job together.

Before grouping together, these weavers didn’t consider weaving activities like a job that supports their families, they considered this as a job one does when one has nothing else to do.
